Есть посты, картинки к которым ищутся подолгу и с большим трудом. Это как раз такой случай, хотя речь идет о двух замечательных художниках, отце и сыне, которых у нас считают одним лицом, так везде и пишут.
Старший - Jean Bérain the Elder, рисовальщик и дизайнер, художник и гравер, придворный художник Людовика XIV. Он оформлял и декорировал абсолютно все- от праздников до похорон, интерьеров, мебели, карет, кораблей и сделал многие проекты для обстановки, декораций и театральных костюмов по пьесам Мольера и операм Люлли.
Берена называли "оракулом вкуса" своей эпохи, его рисунки издавались альбомами.
Гротески и арабески в стиле "Berainesque"- или "беренады" были важным элементом в стиле Régence, как бы переходом от "Большого стиля" Короля-Солнца, и наступающим стилем французского рококо. Эти рисунки копировались и варьировались за пределами Франции, они оказали влияние на стиль всей Европы.

Jean Berain the Elder ( 1640 – 24 January 1711, Paris) was a draughtsman and designer, painter and engraver of ornament, the artistic force in the Royal office of the Menus-Plaisirs du Roi where all the designs originated for court spectacle, from fêtes to funerals, and many designs for furnishings not covered by the Bâtiments du Roi. The "Berainesque" style of light arabesques and playful grotesques was an essential element in the style Régence that led to the French rococo.

Jean Berain II
He was his father's pupil, and exercised the same official functions after his father's death. Thus he planned the funeral ceremonies at Saint Denis Basilica on the death of the Dauphin, and afterwards made the designs for the obsequies of Louis XIV. He is perhaps best known as an engraver.

Прямо пособия по стилевым особенностям.
Если бы кому-нибудь потребовалось воссоздание эпохи L XIV и L XV - лучше не найти.
Или современные интерпретации.

Саша, я когда последние нашла - вне себя была от радости- (Библиотека Гельдейберга, я там совсем ничего не понимаю),и целиком книга. А так они крайне труднодоступны, в поиске их почти не было, с десяток плохих картинок- и все.
НБФ, Бритиш музей- по двадцать картинок, в НЙПБ еще декорации наверняка есть, но там они не подписанные.

Саша, ведь где-то в заморских странах учат, как пользоваться ресурсами. Да и для научной работы у них спец. базы есть, девочки пишут.
А тут сидишь, дура-дурой и не знаешь, как искать- везде же свои хитрости, чтобы получить картинки.

У меня нет такого упорства как у тебя.
Если на сайте сразу не могу чего-то найти просто закрываю и забываю.
Такие картинки как в этом посте точно бы не надыбал.
Вообще у тебя есть то, что никто никогда в сети не найдет, а хоть и с базами и обучением.
Это как рыбалка или охота, кому-то дается, а кому-то нет.
Девочки рассказывают, НО не показывают:)
У меня был случай с заказчицой - нашел ей хорошие ретро-фото в большом разрешении для фотообоев в салон красоты.
Она да ну - у меня сын в Англии там базы данных он найдет лучше - уже год ищет и результат = 0:)

)) Так ей и надо!
Если бы все так просто было- набрал имя художника, и все.
Там же по двадцать разных поисков, а картинки могут быть и не подписаны.
А насчет показать или ресурсами поделиться- да, не особо рассказывают, кроме одной дамы, благодарна ей очень за НБФ- миниатюры, хотя там тоже моск сломаешь. Меня такая злость берет, когда я знаю, что в бпблтотеке есть нужные картинки, а вытащить их не могу! Говорю себе- Марина, ведь до фига есть, что интересного выкладывать, черновики под завязку , уже путаюсь и забываю про очень интересные темы.
Это мне очень мешает, времени же трачу уйму, а результат есть далеко не всегда.
